COVER OF THE WEEK: HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE (BEE GEES) – PJ MORTON feat. YEBBA

There is literally nothing Yebba can’t sing. I’m crazy for this girl. Here she joins forces with PJ Morton who is Stevie Wonder’s closest musical descendant (you can quote me on that) to take on the 1977 Bee Gees UK number one single ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. Coming a full four decades after the original version was released, this rendition is fresh and full of soul, not to mention a bountiful selection of runs and riffs from our two lead vocalists. The strings used in this recording really add something to the song that I can only describe as pure, unadulterated LUSHNESS. Is that even a word? I’m not sure, but when you watch the video below you will know exactly what I mean.
